Hong Kong, China Part 2

from KLIA... arrived... took a double decker bus to Mid-Levels.. meet my friend, stay at her place..wow.. went to Central (central business district of HK) using this "Mid-Levels Escalators".. it is just so long !! go down and down and down... Hong Kong tramways... since 1904... haaaa... amoy.....
going to Admiralty (a commercial area) using Hong Kong MTR..

What a hectic holiday I had, 10 days all together!!
1st Feb
-(From Puchong, Selangor). Arrived at TM Resort: Sri Intan Hotel, Tg. Bungah, Penang (Penang/Pulau Pinang a.k.a Pulau Mutiara).

-Went to Island Plaza shopping mall at Tg. Tokong... hmm.. just a shopping mall..
-Celebrate my cousin's 6th birthday..
2nd Feb
-Went sightseeing around Batu Feringgi, Tg. Tokong, Gurney Drive, Padang Kota, Penang Road and makan² at Kedai Mamak Line Clear.. ok, tummy full..
-Went to Queens Bay Mall, Bayan Lepas... largest shopping mall in Penang!!
-Went to Pasar Malam Batu Feringgi (Night Market).. lots of goodies... nice !!

-Check out from Sri Intan and went straight to Alor Setar, Kedah (Kedah a.k.a Malaysia's Rice Bowl State)
-Went to Souq Albukhary or Albukhary Mall, Jalan Langgar

-Visits friends & relatives around Alor Setar..
5th Feb
-Vroom vroom... back to Puchong !!

-Went to Batu Pahat, Johor for my friend's wedding...
-Went to Ayer Hitam, a must visit place for shopping... hmm.. most of the stalls/shops are selling the same thing... ceramic items, souvenirs, toys, etc. but it is ok coz all sold at a reasonable price..
-On the way back, drop by Bandar Hilir, Melaka for dinner... (Melaka a.k.a Malaysia's Historical City)

Simple celebration for me n my family.. went to this exiting new restaurant at , Shah Alam called Uncle K. Chatting around with family members, friends, make new friends, enjoying a live show n of coz enjoying the food (fried bihun, char kuey teow, black pepper meat balls, coffee + chocolate, tea, orange juice and watermelon juice)...

3Rs Plastic Bag Campaign

This is actually a very good move. Organised by Malaysian Plastics Forum, sponsored by Ministry of Housing and Local Government, this campaign urge us as consumers to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle all plastic bags. Participating partners are all leading hypermarkets in our country - , Carrefour, Jusco, Giant, Tesco and The Store.

I have a brochure about it, n I like to share some of it's content with u guys.

When u have excess plasatic carrier bags:

USE THEM as waste bin liners in the home

USE THEM for storage

USE THEM the next time u go 2 the convenience store

RETURN CLEAN BAGS to the hypermarket/supermarket for recycling

Think b4 u take an Extra Bag!

'NO' 2 extra plastic carrier bags when u buy a few small items

'NO' 2 plastic bags when items are packaged with handles (e.g toilet rolls, rice packet, etc)

FILL UP each plastic carrier bag so that u use less no. of bags for more goods

Start now to reduce, reuse n recycle! Then convince others 2 do the same!

A little bit about BAHAU (kampung cik oren)

Bahau Negeri Sembilan... never been there but i came across this short article about Bahau.. it is a coincidence since my friend Mr. Suhaib asked me about it.. hmm.. i wonder why... it must have something to do with Cik Oren...

First of all, located nearly 250km from Kuala Lumpur (PLUS Highway exit Senawang, straight to Bukit Putus - Kuala Pilah - Juasseh - Bahau).

Few places u can visit.. there is this Hutan Lipur Serting Ulu, another one Taman Rekreasi Bahau n also Teratak Pendita (scholar) Za'Ba.

Another thing is I am surprised that people of Bahau have their own website.. www.bahau.com.my syabas!!

These pictures doesn't really show the gerai makan, just the various signs in it... another thing is, it was taken last year (december).... hehehe...

A Trip To Langkawi, Malaysia

Have u ever been to Pulau Langkawi, Kedah? If not, u definitely have to put it on your list !! A very beautiful island up north of Peninsular Malaysia.

A must-see tourist attraction is the Langkawi Cable Car... 708m above sea level with a 360 degree viewing platform.. wow!!
